Vueling Móvil realiza un aterrizaje forzoso
Menos de un año ha durado el viaje que emprendió Vueling hacia el mercado de la telefonía móvil. La aerolínea catalana presentó Vuelingmóvil en diciembre de 2008.
En aquel momento iniciaba una travesía de la mano de Kpn España (entonces E-Plus Móviles), una compañía con una gran experiencia en el lanzamiento de OMV (gestiona simyo y Blau y también está detrás de otras marcas como Bankinter Móvil).
Sin embargo, el trayecto ha acabado antes de lo previsto, ya que la operadora se ha visto obligada a realizar un aterrizaje forzoso.
Fuentes del sector señalan que Vuelingmóvil no consiguió nunca levantar el vuelo. Y eso a pesar de que recurrió a agresivas promociones en las que rebajó el precio de la tarjeta SIM e incluso regaló móviles libres y billetes de avión.
Su web no se actualizaba desde verano. Y ahora ni siquiera existe: Vuelingmovil.com redirige a Vueling.com, donde se ha suprimido cualquier referencia a este servicio.
Movilonia.com contactó con Kpn España hace varias semanas para confirmar oficialmente el abandono del proyecto. Por el momento no han querido pronunciarse al respecto y se desconoce qué ha sucedido con la cartera de clientes de Vuelingmóvil.
